This workshop aims to help beginners actors who are looking to improve their skills and find new approaches to their work. The workshop includes relaxation exercises, group and individual works that liberate the actors and help them reach a state of being behind just acting or pretending – being in the moment. Throughout the workshop, the participants are given exercises in improvisation, focus, imagination, movement, and work with their five senses, in addition to interacting with other actors, locations, and their surroundings.

About the instructor:
Since 2011, Ahmed Achrafi has worked as a freelance actor, dancer, and performer and has participated in several performing workshops. He also conducts acting workshops for both children and adults in different venues. He has also followed a two-month internship in Portugal teaching drama for kids and adults with special needs. As a performer, he has participated in many performances, including ‘First Draft’, interactive theater performance ‘Taxi’, Contemporary Dance performances ‘Everyone Is Sneakingly Avoiding The Blue Lighter’, ‘Triangles are my Favorite Shape’, ‘Elwafed’, and ‘MOCA’ directed by Manuel Pelmus in 2017 D-CAF festival.
Also, Achrafi worked as an acting coach in the Access program for teenagers with Noon organization, he gave classes and workshops for computer science faculty Ain Shams University, Studio Zat, Place Des Arts and Ahmed Kamal acting workshop in Hossapier Theater.
Ahmed is currently a student in CCDC’s 3-year, a full-time professional program in Contemporary Dance.
